Hello! My name is Joshua Helm! I'm an artist, designer, and architect from Ontario, Canada. I'm currently living and working in London, UK, while pursuing my artistic practice on the weekends. I enjoy plein air painting, documenting the unique architecture, culture, and moments of London. Inspired by Canadian Landscape paintings such as the Group of Seven, I strive to capture the changing qualities of movement and time through gestural brushstrokes, bold colours, and abstract forms.
Since moving to London, I've been fascinated by painting the unique social quality of London's post-industrial landscapes, capturing pubs, streets, canals, and parks. I continue to explore impressionist representation, striving to capture the feeling and emotions of London.
